Private beta · iPhone and Android

Train with it before anyone else.

Emberlift is on TestFlight for iPhone and as a direct install on Android, for a small group of lifters. Free while it’s in beta, a few minutes to set up, and every update arrives on its own.

Getting in

Three steps. On iPhone, the first one is a tap.

iPhone: join on TestFlight

Open the link on your phone. Install the free TestFlight app if you don’t have it, tap Accept, then Install. No invite to wait for. Join on TestFlight

Android: send an email

Any address you read — no name, no form. We reply with an install link. Open it on the phone, allow the install when it asks, done; no Google account needed. Email for the Android link

Open Emberlift and answer honestly

The screening and assessment build your programme. If a screen stops making sense, Settings has a guided tour that walks the real app. Updates arrive automatically; you never have to reinstall.

What testers do

Live with it for a week. Tell us what reads wrong.

We care about the words as much as the numbers. Anything that made you tap twice, feel unsure, or disagree — that’s the feedback we want. A two-line message from Settings is perfect; so is a screenshot.

  • Start a workout from the home screen and log sets with the tick. The rest timer runs between sets — on your lock screen too — and tells you when to go again.
  • Answer the one question per exercise — “how many more could you have done?”, 0 to 3+ — the app adjusts your loads from it.
  • Skip a machine that’s taken: “Machine busy?” should offer substitutes that make sense.
  • Leave the app mid-workout and come back — it should reopen on the exercise you’re doing.
  • Forget to press Finish, on purpose, once — a reminder should arrive after fifteen minutes.
  • Open the Coach tile on Home before a workout — it should say which day is next, what you lifted last time on each exercise, and what to aim for tonight.
  • Reply to a coach note — Add the set, or Not now — then close and reopen the app. It should stay answered, and the set should be in your routine.
  • Check the Muscles tab after a few sessions — covered, building, not yet, and which workout is still to come. By Sunday the Coach screen reviews your week.
  • On Android, this is the first build. Tell us about anything the screen edges cut off, the bottom bar under gesture navigation, sharing a card, and whether the taps buzz.
Questions

The ones we get asked.

Is it free?

Yes, for the whole beta. When it launches there will be a paid tier for the coaching features; beta testers will hear first, and we’ll be clear about what changes.

Android?

Yes, as of September 2026 — as a direct install we send you, while the Google Play listing is being set up. It’s the same app from the same code. Two things are iPhone-only for now: Apple Health, and the automatic backup to your own iCloud. On Android, a backup is a file you export from Settings.

What do you collect about me?

Nothing about your training. There’s no account and no server — your workouts, body weight and food diary stay on your phone. The app makes one request on its own, a check for updates, and it carries nothing about you. If you use Send us a message in Settings, that message reaches us — and only because you pressed the button. The privacy policy has the detail.

What happens to my data after the beta?

It’s already yours — it’s on your phone. When the store version ships it picks up where the beta build left off; nothing is reset.

How do I send feedback?

Settings → Send us a message: type it, send it, no email app needed. On iPhone, a screenshot inside the app also lets TestFlight send it to us with a note. Or email info@emberlift.app. All three reach the same person.

I already have a programme I like. Can I keep it?

Yes. Build your own days from the library and the coaching — volume counts, recovery clock, progression — runs on it just the same.

Ready when you are.

One tap on iPhone, one email on Android, and the next session is on the evidence.
